01 WHO WE ARE

ASTROVE is the consumer brand of Frost Bites Foods for the Indian market.

02 INFORMATION YOU GIVE US

We collect information you choose to provide, which may include:

• name
• email address
• phone number
• delivery and billing information when ordering
• order and customer-support information
• information submitted through the Trade Desk
• information submitted through a Harvest List request
• information submitted through the energy gel list sign-up, including an optional WhatsApp number and optional survey answers
• messages and enquiries you send us
• information you voluntarily supply with a complaint or damage claim

The Harvest List form submits the email address you enter directly to ASTROVE when you press the button.

The energy gel sign-up has two steps. The first submits your email address and your consent to hear about the gel directly to ASTROVE when you press the button, together with a WhatsApp number only if you add one and tick its own box. The second step is an optional short survey: any answers you choose to give (your sport, how many gels you use, flavours, a fair price, interest in a monthly box, your city, and whether you would also be interested in a caffeinated honey-and-fruit gel) are sent only when you press Send answers.

The business enquiry forms prepare an email addressed to support@astrove.in in your email application. Preparing the email does not transmit the enquiry to ASTROVE. Send it from your email app to submit it.

03 INFORMATION GENERATED BY THE SITE

The site is served as static files from our own web server. When your browser requests a page, our server necessarily receives ordinary technical information required to deliver it, which may include:

• IP address
• browser and device information
• requested page or file, and the time of the request

Google Analytics and Meta Pixel run on this Indian storefront unless a saved rejection applies. They may receive page views, product views, bag changes, page URLs, referrers and technical browser information. Our custom event fields do not contain names, email addresses, delivery addresses or payment details. Shopify operates checkout separately and may use its own storage and connected integrations there.

Links to ASTROVE may carry campaign labels, such as a label for our Instagram page or a particular post. We may store those labels and add them to a Shopify bag for attribution when analytics has not been rejected. Section 08 explains browser storage.

When you join the energy gel list, we save with your sign-up the campaign labels of the link you arrived by, the page you arrived on and the page you signed up on, and, when our partner programme is running and you arrived through a valid partner link, that partner’s reference. Nothing personal from the gel forms is sent to Google Analytics or Meta Pixel: they learn only that a sign-up happened and, if you answer the survey, your sport and how many gels you use. Your email address, WhatsApp number, city and other answers are never sent to them.

04 HOW WE USE INFORMATION

We use information to:

• process and fulfil orders
• communicate with you about orders
• provide customer service
• respond to Trade enquiries
• respond to Harvest List requests
• investigate complaints
• prevent misuse and maintain the security of the site
• comply with applicable law
• maintain and improve the operation of the site
• send marketing only where appropriate consent or choice exists

05 ORDERS AND PAYMENTS

Where online payment is available, payment credentials may be processed by a third-party payment service provider. ASTROVE does not need to receive or store full payment-card or bank credentials where those credentials are processed directly by the payment provider.

Where online checkout is available on this site, the payment methods and the payment provider in use are shown at checkout.

When ordering is switched on, ASTROVE uses Shopify as its commerce platform. Your bag, checkout and order are created and processed by Shopify, and payment is handled by Shopify and its payment providers. Card details are entered on Shopify’s checkout and are not received or stored by ASTROVE.

06 SERVICE PROVIDERS

Operating a food business means some information must reach the providers who help deliver it. Depending on what you ask us to do, that may include providers for:

• hosting and infrastructure
• logistics and delivery
• payment processing
• email, mailing-list management and communications
• commerce, checkout and order processing through Shopify
• professional and compliance services

Google Analytics and Meta Pixel also receive storefront event data for site and marketing measurement as described in sections 03 and 08. Information is otherwise shared as reasonably necessary for the relevant service or to meet a legal obligation.

07 EMAIL AND MARKETING

If you join the Harvest List, we will use your email address to send launch and product information relating to ASTROVE.

If you join the energy gel list, we will use your email address to send you launch news and tasting invitations about ASTROVE Energy Gel. It is a separate list from the Harvest List. We will message you on WhatsApp about the gel only if you gave a number and ticked its own box, and we store the number only with that opt-in. We use any survey answers you give to plan the product, its flavours, price, a possible monthly box and any further gels we consider making.

The details you submit are sent to ASTROVE and are then stored and processed on our behalf by an email service provider, which holds our lists and delivers these messages. For the Harvest List we send it only your email address. For the energy gel list we also send the optional details you chose to give, and the campaign labels, pages and partner reference described in section 03.

So that no sign-up is lost if our email service provider fails to record it, our server also keeps a backup copy of each Harvest List or energy gel sign-up it accepts (the same details listed above) in the private logs of our hosting provider. Only ASTROVE can read these logs, and the hosting provider deletes them automatically after 7 days. We use the copy only to restore a sign-up our email service provider did not record.

You can withdraw at any time by using the unsubscribe link included in our emails, or by writing to support@astrove.in and asking us to remove you.

08 COOKIES AND BROWSER STORAGE

This Indian storefront has no on-page privacy settings control. Google Analytics and Meta Pixel run by default here. If this browser previously saved a choice to reject analytics or marketing tracking, that choice is still respected for the relevant tool. A saved approval is also respected.

Google and Meta may set or read browser storage when their tools run. An earlier privacy-choice cookie may remain in your browser until it expires or you clear site data. Clearing a saved rejection also clears that preference, so the Indian site default will apply on your next visit.

When ordering is switched on, the site sets one strictly necessary cookie so your bag can be recognised as yours between page loads. It holds an encrypted reference to your bag and nothing else — no name, no email, no browsing history — and it is readable only by our server, not by scripts in your browser. It expires 24 hours after your bag was last changed. Shopify may also set its own cookies once you reach its checkout.

When analytics has not been rejected, a link with campaign labels may set a session-only __astrove_campaign cookie. It is readable by our server, limited to the bag route, and may add those labels to a Shopify bag or order. An explicit saved analytics rejection stops new campaign capture and forwarding and expires that cookie when the page loads. Labels already written to a bag or order before a later rejection may remain in that record.

On the energy gel pages, the campaign labels of a tagged link, and the page you arrived on, are kept in this browser’s session storage under astrove_gel_attr so that a sign-up later in the same visit can carry them. Session storage is cleared when you close the tab.

Shopify may set its own cookies once you reach checkout and may operate connected analytics or marketing integrations there. We pass an existing saved privacy choice to Shopify. When no visitor choice has been saved, we leave Shopify's visitor-consent value unspecified rather than representing the Indian site default as a choice you made.

09 RETENTION

We keep information for as long as needed for the purpose it was collected for, and for any period we are required to keep it under applicable law — for example, records relating to orders, tax and food-safety obligations.

Where information is no longer needed for any of those purposes, we take reasonable steps to delete it or stop using it.

10 SECURITY

We take reasonable steps to protect information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. The site is served over an encrypted connection in production.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11 YOUR CHOICES AND RIGHTS

We will respond to requests relating to personal data in accordance with applicable Indian law.

Where applicable, you may contact us at support@astrove.in regarding access, correction, erasure, withdrawal of consent, or a grievance concerning the handling of your personal data.

ASTROVE handles personal data in accordance with applicable Indian law, including applicable provisions of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and rules made under it as they come into force.

12 CHILDREN

The site is intended for use by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children in a way that requires consent we have not obtained.

If you believe a child has provided us personal data, write to support@astrove.in and we will take appropriate steps.

13 CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date shown on it.
