Can I eat jamun after the season ends?

Fresh jamun has a short season. Freeze-drying keeps it crisp in a sealed pouch with a 24-month shelf life, so you can open one long after the season ends.

Is Alphonso mango the same as Hapus?

Yes. Hapus is the name used in Maharashtra for the Alphonso mango variety. ASTROVE Alphonso Mango Chunks have one ingredient: Alphonso mango.

Is freeze-dried fruit a healthy snack?

Freeze-dried fruit is a fruit-based snack made by removing most of the fruit’s water. ASTROVE contains one fruit ingredient per pouch, with no added sugar and no added preservatives. It contains naturally occurring sugars.

Is ASTROVE vegan?

ASTROVE’s current freeze-dried fruit range is vegan and contains no animal-derived ingredients.

How much is delivery?

ASTROVE delivers within India to serviceable postcodes. Delivery is ₹100 for orders of up to 14 pouches. Larger orders are charged by weight, so delivery may cost more. The charge is shown before you pay.

Why does freeze-dried fruit taste so intense?

Freeze-drying removes most of the water, leaving the fruit light and crisp, with its recognisable taste. No flavouring or syrup is added.

Why is freeze-dried fruit crunchy instead of chewy?

Because freeze-drying removes water in a very different way. The fruit is frozen first. Under vacuum, the frozen water leaves directly as vapour, a process called sublimation. That leaves behind a dry, porous structure instead of the dense, flexible texture associated with conventional dried fruit. Mango is crisp and light. Jamun is airy with a tart crunch. Pineapple is bright with a firm snap. Same fruit, completely different texture.

What is the difference between freeze-dried fruit and dehydrated fruit?

Both remove water. The biggest difference is how they remove it. Conventional dehydration typically uses warm air or heat over time. Freeze-drying freezes the fruit first, then removes the frozen water directly as vapour under vacuum through a process called sublimation. Because freeze-drying avoids the prolonged heat exposure typical of conventional hot-air drying, it generally preserves heat-sensitive nutrients and bioactive compounds better, and better protects the fruit's colour, aroma and porous structure. Dehydrated fruit is usually denser, softer and chewier; freeze-dried fruit is light, porous and crisp. Retention varies by fruit, nutrient and processing conditions. And ASTROVE keeps the fruit simple: one fruit ingredient, no added sugar, no added preservatives, no syrup, no coating.

What am I actually paying ₹225 for?

Fruit, and what it takes to remove almost all of its water. A 20g ASTROVE pouch starts with a great deal more fresh fruit than it finishes with. Then comes the difficult part: the fruit is frozen, pressure is reduced, frozen water leaves through sublimation, and the finished fruit is packed dry, light and crisp. ASTROVE keeps the formula deliberately simple: one fruit ingredient, no added sugar, no added preservatives. You are not paying for a longer ingredient list. You are paying for the fruit and the process required to turn fresh fruit into a shelf-stable crunch. The pouch is light because the water is gone. The fruit input is not.

Which fruit should I buy first?

Alphonso Mango is rich, fragrant and naturally sweet — the easiest place to start. Jamun is deep, tart and slightly wild, probably the one you have never experienced like this before. Pineapple is bright, tangy and aggressively crisp, the sharpest crunch of the three. If you cannot choose, that is why the First Harvest Trio exists.

Why buy the First Harvest Trio?

Because ASTROVE is not three flavours of the same snack. It is three different fruits with three completely different experiences. The First Harvest Trio lets you experience all three at once: Alphonso Mango, Jamun and Pineapple, 3 × 20g. ₹599 instead of ₹675 individually, a saving of ₹76. If this is your first ASTROVE order, start here.

Is there added sugar?

No. Nothing is added to make the fruit sweeter. No added sugar, no syrup, no artificial sweetener. The sugars present occur naturally in the fruit.

Why would I choose this over fresh fruit?

Sometimes you should eat fresh fruit. ASTROVE is for all the times fresh fruit is inconvenient: no washing, no peeling, no cutting, no refrigeration before opening, no bruised banana at the bottom of your bag, no pineapple juice running down your hands. Fresh fruit when you can. ASTROVE when you cannot.

Will it actually stay crunchy?

Yes — until you open it. Freeze-dried fruit is porous and readily absorbs humidity from the air. Sealed, the crunch keeps. Once the pouch is open, it begins to soften. Open it, eat it: that is what a single 20g pouch is for. One pouch is one sitting, so the crunch never has to wait.

What is the simplest reason to try ASTROVE?

Because fruit does not normally behave like this. Alphonso Mango that crunches. Jamun that almost disappears when you bite it. Pineapple that snaps. One ingredient created the entire experience. Try all three for ₹599.
